Russia’s Nadia Petrova has bagged her seventh WTA Tour title. The world number seven fought back from a set down to beat Lucie Safarova in the final of the Paris Open on Sunday.
Petrova now has a Paris Open title to add to her growing collection, but only after surviving an early scare at the hands of rising star Safarova.
Safarova reached two set points and closed it out for the first set in 30 minutes with an angled forehand that was too good for Petrova.
